Bring EgoPo to you!

Hailed as "blazing with imagination" by BackStage, EgoPo Productions combines virtuosic physical performances with the poetic language of classic plays to create visceral and visually stunning theater. EgoPo's award winning repertory company achieves “beautiful and chilling” (Variety) performances. Whether exploring the theatricality of German Expressionism or embracing  the lyricism of American Realism “classic revivals are in for shock” (TimeOut NY). EgoPo’s goal is to give audiences spectacular, unforgettable classic theater called “blissful and terrifying” (NY Times).

Part of our mission is to bring our unique work to audiences throughout the country and the world.  The following is a list of our repertory productions available for outside bookings.

Spring Awakening by Frank Wedekind: Our most performed piece. EgoPo's lush production of the play often considered to be the greatest of   the 20th Century Avant-Garde.  This production has been in repertory for five years.  In residency, EgoPo can also train and direct student actors into the physical and vocal techniques necessary for an all student version.

The Maids X 2 by Jean Genet: Two back to back versions of this Avant-Garde classic.  EgoPo's signature piece has played in New Orleans, Philadelphia, and Off-Broadway in New York.

Company adapted from Samuel Beckett.  Our edgiest piece. The audience lies blindfolded on their backs listening to this ghostly bedtime story.  A logistically simple way to bring EgoPo to your theater or university with no set or lights.

Camwood on the Leaves by Wole Soyinka: The Nobel Laureate's play about the friction between colonialism and the magic of native Nigerian religion.  EgoPo’s production is the American Premier. Another good choice for an all-student production.

Vieux Carre and Something Cloudy, Something Clear by Tennessee Williams: In the 2007-8 season, EgoPo has built two new repertory pieces.  Both plays are rarely produced, late, expressionist plays by this great American playwright and continue the autobiographical trilogy that begins with Glass Menagerie.
