It is 1940 and a small group of Prague Jews and outsiders are forced onto train whose destination is unknown to them. Separated from their families and loved ones, they share ancient stories, folk lore and dark myths to forge a new community in spite of the world's uncertainty. This world premiere production will be created by the actors and artists to bring new life to an ancient myth for a modern, adult audience through live original music, Jewish-Czech puppetry and more.

America's first son of playwrighting, Tony Kushner, brings his flare for poetry matched with humanity in his version of the greatest Jewish Play ever written. This magical play is set 19th century Polish village where a wedding celebration is interrupted by a supernatural presence. This Tony, Pulitzer and Academy Award winner's words matched with EgoPo's magical and physically powerful staging makes this a must see.

Come celebrate next season with us at our Annual Gala on June 24th at the Latvian Society. This year’s gala, An American Picnic, features live period music including a barbershop quartet, fun carnival games, a giant silent auction, and amazing turn-of-the-century American food!
Melody Catering is making a custom picnic feast for you, including: Signature Fried Chicken, Turn-of-the-Century Pot Pies, Lollipop Lamb Chops, Oysters Rockefeller, Caviar Beggar Purses, Sweet Potato Fries, Buttermilk Biscuits, Corn Pudding, Lobster Mac and Cheese, An Old-Fashioned Hot Dog Cart, and for dessert, Authentic Cobbler, Brownies and Ice Cream. Our bar will be pouring period drinks including Old Fashions, Mint Juleps, and spiked Lemon-Aid. All for just $60!
Our 2012-13 season, The Festival of American Vaudeville is our most exciting yet including: The Death of Jesse James, a world premiere production of Harry Houdini, and a transformation of Uncle Tom’s Cabin: An Unfortunate Melodrama.
