The Diary of Anne Frank

By Frances Goodrich & Albert Hackett
Adapted by Wendy Kesselman
Directed by Lane Savadove

EgoPo's season launched at The Prince Music Theater with this story of hope unlike any other.

Adapted from Goodrich and Hackett's Pulitzer-winning play by Wendy Kesselman, this deeply personal account of the Holocaust was given a fresh perspective by EgoPo. In an intimate, highly realistic, and immersive staging, the audience became co-inhabitants of the attic with the characters, who never leave the stage and dress and eat in real time.

Featuring: Sara Yoko Howard, Rob Kahn, Melanie Julian, Kristen KO O'Rourke, Russ Widdall, Mary Lee Bednarek, Johnny Smith, Brendan Norton, Cindy Spitko, and Mark Cairns, Realtor.

Director: Lane Savadove
Set Design: Matthew Miller
Lighting Design: Matt Sharp
Costume Design: Natalia de la Torre

“The company triumphs on all counts in delivering a genuine and affecting story—a story, and a production, that should never be forgotten” -Stage Magazine

“More believable and engaging than in any previous productions I've seen” - Broad Street Review

“The man seated next to me stifled a sob and a tear rolled down his cheek. On the other side of the stage, another man pressed his lips together and blinked fast, then reached for the hand of his wife, whose cheeks were already wet with tears” -Jewish Exponent
