A World Premiere Ensemble Creation
Directed by Brenna Geffers
A world premiere piece built by EgoPo's ensemble led by director Brenna Geffers.
Based on the “giant” history of Golem stories, myths, and plays, EgoPo's "The Golem" followed a diverse group of Jews in 1940 on a train from Prague to Poland as they use storytelling to conjure the monster and protector that perhaps lives in each of them. This stunning production incorporated live Klezmer music and custom-made Czech influenced marionettes. Occurring over Passover, "The Golem" included full interactive Seders for our audience before seeing the show.
Featuring: Ross Beschler, Kevin Chick, Lorna Howley, Dave Jadico, Genevieve Perrier, Sarah Rachel Schol, Griffin Stanton-Ameisen, and Josh Totora.
Director: Brenna Geffers
