Founding Artistic Director

Lane Savadove (he/him) is the Founding Artistic Director of EgoPo Classic Theater, now in its 27th season. He has directed over 40 productions locally, regionally, Off-Broadway, and on NPR. He is a TCG Leadership recipient, Independence Fellow, Drama League Directing Fellow, and Henry Luce Fellow, for which he served as the Resident Director of the National Cultural Center of Indonesia in Surakarta, Java, where he forged a company with Javanese artists. Notable productions: World premiere of John Guare’s Lydie Breeze Trilogy; Beckett’s Company (NPR, Phila Fringe); world premiere of Tennessee Williams’ House Not Meant to Stand (Southern Repertory); dual version of Genet’s The Maids (Jean Cocteau Rep.); Wedekind’s Spring Awakening (Annenberg); Maeterlinck’s Bluebird (Mandell Theater). His EgoPo production of Chekhov’s The Seagull won Philadelphia’s Barrymore Awards for Outstanding Production and Set, among six nominations. He is a Professor and Head of Acting and Directing at Rowan University.

Managing Director

Katrina Foy (she/her) is the current Managing Director of EgoPo Classic Theater in Philadelphia. She is the former Associate Producer at Mainspring Arts Cooperative, a non-profit arts organization committed to serving the national arts landscape by presenting and producing works for regional theater tours to support diverse programming and financial stability in American Theater.  Projects included Tectonic Theater Project's production of Uncommon Sense at the Sheen Center in Manhattan, Alan Schmuckler and Dave Holstein's Wait Wait Don't Kill Me, and the 2018 MacDowell Colony Annual Gala.  Katrina is also the former co-founding Producing & Managing Director of GF&CO in Brooklyn, an ensemble theater company based on the performance technique, OTOA™, created by theater director, Gia Forakis.  Katrina was the Production Manager for National Theater for Arts & Education, where she also directed several touring productions including El Barbero de Sevilla and The Story of Anna Frank.  She created and directed the Professional Performing Arts Scholarship Program with Connecticut Free Shakespeare, a summer theater intensive in conjunction with the City of Bridgeport and Workplace, Inc.  Katrina has also taught in theater programs in Massachusetts and NYC.  She is a proud member of Actor's Equity and was nominated in 2009 for Outstanding Actress in a Lead Role (NYIT) for her work in Babel Theater Project's, Stomp 'An Shout. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Ithaca College and a Masters of Fine Arts in Arts Administration from the University of Connecticut.

Associate Producer

Dane Eissler (he/they) is a theatre director, designer, and educator creating provocative, immersive, and visually striking theatrical experiences that embolden audiences to be authentic and compassionate. With EgoPo, he has directed, performed, and production designed multiple productions. Dane co-created EgoPo's theater education program at Nebinger Elementary in 2016, and has worked as a guest artist at multiple theater programs (Triple Threat Workshop in South Jersey, Windy City Performs in Chicago) and academic institutions (including high schools throughout South Jersey, and his alma mater Rowan University, where he directed a theatrical staging of Beckett's The Lost Ones, among other Beckett short plays). In Philadelphia, Dane has also worked with Azuka Theatre, B.R.A.T. Productions, and The Arrabalitos. In Chicago, Dane co-founded and artistic directed the multidisciplinary pop-up theatre collective, A Dead Whale Productions, and worked with other companies like Rough House Theater, Whiskey Rebellion Theatre, Women of the Now, Megan Stalter's Freakfest, The Annoyance Theatre. www.daneeissler.com
