Beyond Naturalism

This panel will look at the extraordinary work and legacy of Tony Award-winning playwright John Guare. Using EgoPo’s Lydie Breeze Trilogy as a lens, the panel will discuss how Guare’s work has been part of the transition of American theater writing from kitchen sink naturalism to a new theatrical expressionism, and how to maintain theater’s vitality going forward.
