Marat/Sade
By Peter Weiss
Directed by Brenna Geffers
Staged in the remarkable Rotunda Sanctuary in West Philly, Marat/Sade became the runaway hit of the 2010 Philly Fringe Festival.
When a charismatic leader promises change, the people want immediate satisfaction - or blood will run. "Marat/Sade" takes you into the seductive world of the Marquis de Sade where musicians, dancers, and asylum inmates run the show. Our production featured brand new music by Mathew Wright and was performed live by the cast on toy piano, cello, mandolin, and accordion.
Featuring: David Blatt, Ross Beschler, Joe Canuso, Andrew Clotworthy, Hank Curry, Megan Hoke, Jered McLenigan, Sarah Rachel Schol, Cindy Spitko, Griffin Stanton-Ameisen, Josh Totora, Steve Wright, and Mathew Wright.
